Traditional Preparation:

1. Fill 2/3 of the mate gourd (calabash) with yerba mate.
2. Tilt the gourd so the leaves cover the side and nearly reach the top.
3. Add a splash of warm water, wait a few seconds, then discard the water.
4. Insert the bombilla (straw) and fill the gourd with 80°C hot water. Re-brew up to 4-5 times.
